Colonel David & Mrs. Martha Maurer

David and Martha dated for a short time when they were in college, but he went off to school at West Point Military Academy, and their lives went different directions. The past year they have reconnected, and discovered a shared interest in travel and spending time with one another. They married on Valentine's Day 2011 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Texarkana, TX with their children, grandchildren, and friends in attendance. They now live in Montana.

Assistant Photographer

As many of you know, in order to capture big events like weddings, reunions, and dances it takes more than one person snapping pictures. It is also important to have a second photographer because one can never predict when their camera might decide to "act up." Some people become a little skeptical about "assistant photographers" capturing their important events, but I have complete confidence that my helper is capable of taking over at any time. My assistant is my older daughter Jacqueline Trammell, who is a great photographer in her own right. She has grown up watching me take pictures her whole life, and spent a lot of time playing with my equipment. She hasn't had any formal training, but I like to think that I've taught her well. She received the bronze metal in Josten's Nationwide Yearbook Photography Award in New York City for the pictures she took for her high school yearbook in 2002. Her pictures have a very artistic quality. She has helped me take pictures at several weddings and engagement shoots. She has her own blog bowiecountyhousewife.blogspot.com in which she includes some of the pictures she has taken. Here are a few examples of her work.
